Tawai Team
Tawai Team is a Wellington based animation studio that specialises in 2D frame-by-frame animation.
Here Gigi collaborated with the team for 1 ½ years on the absurdist comedy series ‘Too Bald Clowns’ episode 1 & 2 – having worked on the colour scripting for the show and key frame animation.

Colour scripts and design process
“To design the final colour pallet for episode 1 and the basis for the rest of the show, I created colour scripts of each scene to get a sense of how the colours would look next to each other and find cohesion in the overall viewing. So much of colour is about contrast, and comparison, what one colour is next to can totally shift perception and the feeling it gives off, that’s why the colour scripting in this much detail was so important for sharing that vision and collaborating on finding the overall palette with the director, Luke Hargest.” – Gigi
